Cursillo needs you
“Christ is counting on you.” We all were reminded of that on our Cursillo weekend and, right now, you have several opportunities for making a difference in the Cursillo movement.
Here’s a description of some of the ministries that await you. Please prayerfully consider them and then send a message about how you might help to me, Colin Stewart, at cestewart@cox.net.
SPREADING THE WORD
– Volunteering to visit parishes that express interest in Cursillo.
– Hosting a Cursillo information meeting.
– Helping to update and expand our database, so we can stay in communication with active cursillistas.
– Helping to assemble our newsletter, The Rooster.
– Helping with online communication, including the Cursillo websites in English or Spanish and the email updates of the Diocese of Los Angeles.
PALANCA
– Praying for upcoming weekends both inside and outside the diocese.
– Helping to create palanca to send to Cursillo weekends in other dioceses as symbols of our prayers for them.
– Helping to create Palanca for upcoming weekends.
GATHERINGS
– Helping to organize ultreyas to deepen our understanding of our Christian walk.
– Helping to organize parties featuring music and fellowship.
– Helping to organize palanca parties.
Blessings,
Colin Stewart
Chair of the Secretariat for the Diocese of Los Angeles, 2010-2011
Subscribe to the Rooster (free)
We want to send the Rooster to every cursillista in the diocese who wants to receive it, but our mailing list has some gaps.
To fix that, we’re asking you:
1. Please forward a copy of this issue to each cursillista that you know in the Los Angeles diocese whose email address you have.
2. If you received this email from a friend but not directly from Cursillo AND if you want to continue to receive it, please forward it one more time — to our mailing list manager (Dan Cash at dan.r.c@sbcglobal.net). Simply put “Cursillo” in the subject line and add at the top, “Please add me to the mailing list.”
Thanks.
